BC Children's Hospital Publishes Impact Report on Pediatric Simulation Centre and CFRI Imaging Facility

The report outlines the positive impact of the Simulation Centre and Imaging Facility funded by Mining for Miracles from 2010-2012.

Mining for Miracles has supported BC Children’s Hospital since 1988. To date, your cumulative contributions have surpassed $23.4 million, with 100 per cent of the funds raised going toward specific projects at the hospital. Every day, Mining for Miracles’ success contributes to the excellent pediatric care available to the children and families who rely on BC Children’s Hospital.

Mining for Miracles raises funds for BC Children’s Hospital through events including the Diamond Draw, the Teck Celebrity Pie Throw, Jeans Day™, Slo-Pitch, the Hooked on Miracles Fishing Tournament and numerous employee-led events like barbecues, bake sales and other fundraising initiatives.

In 2010, Mining for Miracles made a $5-million commitment to support two significant projects at BC Children’s Hospital – the creation of the Pediatric Simulation Centre and the Child & Family Research Imaging Facility (CFRIF). Originally pledged over five years, Mining for Miracles completed its $5-million commitment in three years, directing $3.7 million to the Pediatric Simulation Centre and $1.3 million to the CFRIF.
